One-on-one coaching

Personal training in El Dorado Hills

One-on-one coaching with an EDHFIT coach, built around your goals, your history and your schedule.

Yes, EDHFIT offers one-on-one personal training in El Dorado Hills. You work privately with an EDHFIT coach who learns your goals, your history and what you're working around, then builds each session around you. You can also join our coached group classes. Ask a coach to set up your first session.

What one-on-one training at EDHFIT looks like

Sessions happen in our gym at 4970 Robert J Mathews Pkwy, STE 120, El Dorado Hills, with the same equipment our classes use: squat racks, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, rings, boxes, rowers and air bikes. Your coach starts by learning what you want to work on, your training and injury history, and how you move, and builds the session from there.

Our coaches don't press play on a screen. They watch your movement, scale the work to you and modify around old injuries. In a one-on-one session, all of that attention is on you for the whole session.

Who personal training is a good fit for

  • Learning barbell technique. Squats, deadlifts and presses, taught one-on-one before you load them up.
  • Working around an old injury or limitation. A slower, private start with a coach who adjusts every movement.
  • A specific event or sport goal. Individual programming for a race, a season or a milestone. For endurance goals, also see endurance training.
  • Nervous about a group on day one. Build confidence privately, then join a class whenever you're ready.
  • Wanting more accountability. A coach who expects you, every session.

One honest note: if you mainly want coaching, a plan and people to train with, our coached classes may be all you need. Every class is led by a coach who scales the workout to you, so a group class already gives you a lot of individual attention. Ask us and we'll tell you which fits.

Before your first session

You'll get more out of your first hour with a coach if you come ready to talk. It helps to think about:

  • Your goal, in plain words. "Deadlift without my back hurting," "get ready for a race," or "feel strong again" are all great answers.
  • Your history. How you've trained before, what's worked, and what hasn't.
  • Anything you're working around. Old injuries, surgeries, sore joints or medications. If a doctor or physical therapist has given you limits, bring them.
  • Your week. How many days you can realistically train, so your coach can plan around real life.

Bring athletic shoes, comfortable clothes and a water bottle. There are no showers on site, so plan to change at home. Parking is free and right out front.

Personal training FAQ

Does EDHFIT offer personal training in El Dorado Hills?

Yes. EDHFIT offers one-on-one personal training with an EDHFIT coach at our gym in the El Dorado Hills Business Park. Each session is built around your goals, your training history and anything you’re working around. Call or text (916) 420-3219 to set up a session.

Should I choose personal training or group classes?

Choose one-on-one if you want a coach’s full attention: to learn the lifts, work around an injury, or train for a specific goal. Choose coached group classes if you want a routine, coaching on every rep and people to train with. You can do either, or both.

Can a personal trainer help me work around an old injury?

Yes. Our coaches modify movements around old injuries and limitations every day. Tell your coach what you’re working around at your first session, and if you’re under a doctor’s or physical therapist’s care, check with them first. We coach; we don’t diagnose or treat injuries.

How much does personal training cost?

One-on-one personal training is $90/hour. Membership rates for coached classes are on our pricing page, and your first group class is free.
